City of Covina – City Hall

Allana Buick & Bers, Inc. (ABBAE) was retained to provide building envelope review and roofing systems evaluation for the Covina City Hall. The Covina City Hall consists of two buildings connected with an atrium. The original 10,000 SF, two-story City Hall building was constructed in the 1930s and the two-story, 12,500 SF addition was built in 1989. Both buildings are concrete and have both low-slope and steep-slope tile roofing systems. ABBAE was originally retained to review water intrusion issues, provide a report and construction documents for the replacement of the existing low-slope roof. During the investigation phase, additional façade issues were discovered and incorporated into the scope of work. ABBAE provided construction phase services (administration and monitoring) for repair work on the two buildings.
