Allana Buick & Bers, Inc. (ABBAE) was retained for structural and engineering services, construction monitoring and testing services for the reroofing of various buildings located in the Ala Moana Shopping Center.
Ala Moana Center is one of Hawaii’s premier shopping destinations with more than 290 shops and restaurants on the property. The property also has two commercial office buildings; the 23-story Ala Moana Building, and the 18-story Ala Moana Pacific Center.
General Growth Properties initiated a significant reroofing project that include the selective replacement, recovery, and/or recoating of roofing systems at numerous Ala Moana Center buildings.
ABBAE provided the Bid Set Specifications for the project that included basic plans and details of the affected buildings, work occurred in three phases. ABBAE also provided post-installation fastener pull out testing.
