US Coast Guard Base Naval Engineering Department Building

Allana Buick & Bers, Inc. (ABB) was retained by Haskell Construction (Haskell) to provide air barrier inspection and testing services for the Naval Engineering Department Building at the US Coast Guard Base in Honolulu, Hawaii.

This project included the construction of new shop and administrative spaces to support the homeporting of two national security cutters. The addition to the Fast Response Cutter (FRC) building provided the new shop spaces and the addition for the Naval Engineering Department (NED) building included administrative and support spaces for cutter operations. Additionally, the consolidated supply building underwent renovations to provide office spaces.

ABB was brought in to provide third-party, whole building air barrier testing exclusively for the NED building. Testing services were provided in accordance with ASTM E-779 as referenced in ASHREA 189.1 Normative Appendix B, cited in the provided specifications.
