University of Hawaii – Pacific Biosciences Research Center
Allana Buick & Bers, Inc. (ABB) was retained by the University of Hawai’i (UH) to provide design and engineering services for the Pacific Biosciences Research Center (PBRC).
The PBRC is a 10,000 GSF, 2-story building on UH’s Honolulu Campus that contains lab spaces, offices, and classrooms.
ABB provided design and engineering services for installation of a photovoltaic (PV) system on the roof of the PBRC building. The scope of work included design of a custom racking system, protocols for the design, and installation of the systems to ensure they performed as intended.
ABB assisted UH during the bidding phase and provided construction administration services to ensure proper installation and waterproofing.
