MGM City Center

Allana Buick & Bers, Inc. (ABB) was retained to provide roof and waterproofing monitoring at the MGM City Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The City Center project is a mixed-use residential project containing a hotel, condominium tower, casino and retail. The Aria Casino/Hotel is the center of the project, flanked by the Vdara and twin Veer hotel/condominium towers, the Mandarin Oriental Hotel and Harmon Place Hotel. The project began construction in 2007; the Aria tower and the Mandarin opened in 2009, Vdara and Veer Towers and retail space opened in 2010.

ABB provided installation monitoring for the Vdara and Veer Towers interior waterproofing requirements. We assisted MGM in determining the source of moisture deficiencies in the roof assemblies of the Crystal Towers prior to completion. ABB also provided waterproofing consulting and construction monitoring services for the people mover system and the new central plant constructed at the project.
