Cathedral of Christ

Allana Buick & Bers, Inc. (ABB) was retained by the property manager to provide building consulting services for the Cathedral of Light located in Oakland, California.

The Cathedral of Christ the Light emerged as the legacy of the former parish home, St. Francis de Sales Cathedral, which was destroyed in the 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake.  The new cathedral takes its place as a landmark edifice and home parish of the Diocese of Oakland.  The building consists of cast-in-place above-above grade concrete walls and extensive window wall systems.

ABB performed a roofing and waterproofing visual survey and assessment.
