Allana Buick & Bers, Inc. (ABBAE) was retained by BRE Properties, Inc. for construction phase services for the BRE Solstice Apartments located in Sunnyvale, California.
The project is approximately 279 new residential apartment units that tower over a concrete podium with retail space at the street level. There will be a pool on-grade and two concrete parking structures. There is waterproofing installed at planters, the podium, below-grade, and below the topping slab at exposed concrete areas in some units.
The building cladding will consist of a combination of fiber cement siding, metal panels, and cement plaster. The windows are vinyl fin-type installed in both flush and recessed openings. The type of building construction is Type I-A for the basement, first, and second story levels and Type V-A for third through sixth stories).
