Allana Buick & Bers, Inc. (ABB) was retained by AvalonBay Communities for roofing, green roofing, podium, and below grade waterproofing services for apartments located at 55 Ninth Street, San Francisco, California.
Avalon 55 Ninth is a multi-family residential building consisting of 17 residential levels and two mechanical levels, with approximately 175 apartments in this urban-inspired design by Solomon Cordwell Buenz. The first-floor exterior walls are cement plaster and exposed concrete with curtain walls. The upper floors will consist of curtain walls of aluminum, glass, and glass louvered vents.
Avalon at 55 Ninth units consist of studio, one-and two-bedroom apartments, and will also feature artwork created by local artists, a fitness center, an outdoor movie screen, and on-site retail.
ABB is providing peer review and design assistance services for the construction documents as well as construction administration and construction monitoring services.
