Conley Group, An ABBAE Company, was retained by Texas Christian University to provide condition assessment, design review, water infiltration evaluation and testing, and waterproof consulting services for Amon G. Carter Stadium located in Fort Worth, Texas.

Amon G. Carter Stadium is an open-air football stadium on the campus of Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas and is home to the TCU Horned Frogs football team.

Built in 1930, the stadium underwent its first major renovation in 1956. In 2010, TCU announced a major reconstruction of the west side and north end zone to better enhance football fans’ experience, upgrade amenities, and transform the stadium into a Fort Worth historic icon. Construction was fully completed in 2012 and cost $164 million.

Conley Group was retained by TCU as a building enclosure consultant to address reported water infiltration. Conley Group reviewed leak history and construction documents as well as provided visual observation of water infiltration and relevant weather barrier systems. A system design was proposed, identifying system warrantability and service
life, as well as long term maintenance cost considerations.

Conley Group investigated and presented any necessary requirements to remedy any sources and reasons for potential water infiltration. A report indicated test results and photographic documentation of the testing activities. A report was provided to summarize findings and identify repair options within a reasonable budget. Evaluation services integrated design, material, and installation as a means to a successful resolution.
