19th and Mercer Mixed Use

Allana Buick & Bers, Inc. (ABB), was retained by the client for building envelope consulting services for the mixed-use condominium building located at 526 19th Avenue East, Seattle, Washington.

The project was designed by Weinstein Architects and consists of a four-story, 50-unit residential building with 6,000 SF of retail space over a below grade parking garage. The structure is made up of three levels of wood frame over a podium. The cladding consists of a combination of cedar siding, aluminum clad composite panel, prefinished bent plate metal channel bellybands, galvanized bar grate guard rails, and glass store front systems. There is an exposed concrete and exposed cast in place concrete planters. Windows are aluminum front and Nana Wall window systems with wooden clad. The roof system is a single-ply low slope. ABB services included peer review, waterproofing, and construction documents.
