Outrigger Canoe Club

Allana Buick & Bers, Inc. (ABB) was retained by the building owner to provide a property condition assessment, remedial design, and construction phase services.

The Outrigger Canoe Club is a 64,600 SF concrete building. The structure has a single-story above grade and a half-level below. Built in 1964, the 1.5-acre site also contains a four-story parking garage.

ABB was hired to provide an assessment of the building structure and exterior building envelope, to include roofs, terraces and windows. Following our report and recommendations, we provided remedial design services for the roof replacement which included an extensive retrofit of the commercial kitchen HVAC system, consolidation of existing rooftop duct work and electrical systems, replacement of damaged and deteriorated mechanical equipment and replacement of rooftop skylights. Additional scope included construction administration and permitting services, obtaining approvals for the Waikiki Special Design District.
