Allana Buick & Bers, Inc. (ABBAE) was retained by MGA Architecture to provide waterproofing peer review services for a new mixed-use building in Honolulu.
2230 Kalakaua is a five-story steel-frame building with glass and granite curtain walls and a garden roof. The retail/office building is included in the Waikiki Special Design District.
ABBAE provided peer review of the design and construction documents for below-grade waterproofing, plaza podium and decking. Additional scope included construction administration and substantial construction monitoring.
