Extended Stay Hotel, Phoenix, Arizona

Allana Buick & Bers, Inc. (ABB) was retained by the owner of a recently constructed 127-room extended stay hotel in Phoenix, Arizona to provide an assessment of the mechanical and plumbing systems.

The purpose of the assessment was to review the installation of the mechanical and plumbing systems, review the systems against the contract drawings, and identify any operational issues. Following the initial assessment, ABB was later retained to provide litigation support on behalf of the owner.

ABB provided an initial written report of findings and recommendations. The report included equipment inventory, operational and construction defect observations, recommendations, and Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) budgets. ABB was subsequently contracted by a local attorney, on behalf of the owner, to provide technical support to review attorney-provided construction documents. ABB drafted an expert opinion on contract breaches, construction deficiencies, and culpability.
