Allana Buick & Bers, Inc. (ABBAE) was retained by the university to provide a building condition assessment of a partially constructed campus building.
The University of California, Davis asked ABBAE to provide an assessment of The Segundo Dining Commons, a steel-frame building with pre-cast concrete and structural steel framework exteriors.
Construction was halted when the building shell was partially complete and the interior build out was not substantially completed. The building use is for a full service dining, food preparation and storage facility. ABBAE’s report of the installed work included items or systems required correction or removal due to the six month project suspension. The report also recommended remedial repair alternatives of existing stone veneer wall system along with several building envelope and plumbing components.
