Allana Buick & Bers, Inc. (ABBAE) was retained to provide investigation, remedial design and construction services for building repair.
The Kapi’olani Medical Center at Pali Momi was completed in 1989 to serve West Oahu. The two-tower complex contains a 116-bed hospital facility with an adjacent medical office building (MOB). The hospital is a four-story concrete building and the MOB is a five-story concrete tower. The MOB is owned by Healthcare Realty Trust and has office space for more than 100 physicians.
ABBAE was retained by the owners to investigate and determine the location of failing sealants and coatings to both towers.
